The Chief Technology Officer serves as secretary to the Data Processing Executive Committee (DPEC) which is a computer operation jointly funded by the Allegany County Board of Education and Allegany County Government, and responsible for the supervision and operations of Information Technology and Microcomputing and Networking departments encompassing all areas of responsibility and duties assigned to the Department of Information Technology administrated by DPEC.
